Chinese investors ordered to divest interests in critical minerals sector

On November 2, 2022, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry François-Philippe Champagne issued a statement indicating that the Government of Canada had ordered divestitures of three recent investments in Canadian mining companies under the national security review provisions of the Investment Canada Act (ICA).
